Thirsty

In computer illustration my teacher gave me the opportunity to do a toy pitch with a digital paint over.  The movie pitch idea was called thirst.  It was about a gang of kids who steal precious water from the government and distribute it to the thirsty.  Here is one of the kids and the final poster.

Illest of Ill!!!!

I know it's a bit late but I made it into illest of Ill this year!!!  Illest is an annual juried show here at Ringling and it is a huge honor to get in.  It felt so great to finally get in.  Here is the piece from the show.  I call it The Sugar Glider Rider.

The Bayou Dentist Office

Hello guys, here is my newest sculpture from illustration.  We had the ability to do whatever we wanted so I took the opportunity to create an environment piece.  It's a bayou dentist office.  Enjoy.

Newer Things!!!!

Hey guys here is some art I have done recently for Illustration 2 and Computer Illustration.  Things are definitely going better.  Hope you like what you see.

The next two are from the concept project from Computer Illustration

Vector Portrait done in Adobe Illustrator
Monster Icons done in Adobe Illustrator
This was a fun assignment.  We were told to design a classic pulp cover.  Really enjoyed this one.  I think this is definitely a direction in style I could pursue further.
 Monkey Market
Billboard for a store called Toy Lab

Sophomore Year Adjustments

I found that going into sophomore year was one of the toughest adjustments I've had to make in my life.  Jumping from being homeschooled, to the core Ringling program, to sophomore year was wild.  Over all I loved it though.  A lot of good things happened.  I got to sculpt a monument for Sarasota, I interviewed with Hasbro for a toy sculpting internship after being voted by five teachers at Ringling as one of the Hasbro workshop finalists.  In my next few posts I will dump a ton of work from last year.  Enjoy.
Ace of Cakes
Album Cover for Cee- Lo Green Gettin' Grown
 John Ringling Promotion
In media we were instructed to draw a fish in pen and ink so I did a kingFISHer.
Another King Fisher (this time a bit more punny)
 Nude Water Based Clay Sculpture
 Music Man
For this project we needed to show "communication" between two figures.  I chose to illustrate the student loan experience.
Couldn't figure out what to do for my conceptual self portrait.  I guess you could say I was stumped.
The next three are my illustrations for The Hobbit.

More Freshmen Stuff

My favorite class of freshmen year was 3d Design.  Here are two moderately successful pieces for that class:  The first is my toy project; my teacher made a fun of me a lot because I talk about myself constantly :P .  So in order to bother him further I made my toy project about myself.  I give you Dan Quixote!
The next one was my mass project.  The parameters of the assignment were just to create a three dimensional representation of an item that portrayed mass.  I decided to create a creature called The City Slicker.  I was quite proud to find that it got into the Best of Core show.

Freshman Year Work

So I stumbled upon a lot of my work from freshman year on my hard drive and thought it would be fun to post it first.  Looking at it I realize how much I have really improved.  It's pretty exciting to me to see that what was hard for me back then comes much easier now.  Well hear we go.  Thanks for looking.

New Blog

Hey guys!!!!  So my last blog kind of died but now I'll have a new and improved blog (that I actually update and spend time on).  I'm a junior illustrator at Ringling College of Art and Design.  Although I am an illustrator I have a true love for creating things in 3d.  There's just something cool about being able to take a drawing and sculpt it in a 3d tangible form.  Throughout my blog you'll find an array (hopefully) of both sculptural work and illustration.   I hope you enjoy looking.  Thanks.
